Olefson Art Opticals began as an answer to a seeming simple question--can a gifted graphic artist/designer create a hand made that is both beautiful and workable? Laurie Olefson, with a lifetime career in graphics and magazine design, took the challenge after a class on how to make eyeglasses, spend many hours to master the skills, tools, and technique to fashion frames suitable for prescription that are truly 'jewelry for the face.
Since we display and sell at hi-end craft shows, we soon realized there was a need, among those of us of a 'special age', for high quality readers finished in unique and stylish ways, for both women and men.Relative newcomers to Rhode Island, we have a 'tiny house studio/store', discretely located in Providence. We invite you to visit our store, as well as see us at the fabulous high end craft shows, as listed on our website.See what we can do to bright your face, and make you smile-you will not be dissapointedtiny house studio store is in Providence, less than an hour from Boston and Newport and less than 2 hours to Cape Cod or New Haven. It was quite a journey for us—both literally and figuratively. Built in South Carolina by Spencer Sousa and Roughcut Tiny House during the pandemic, we never stepped foot in the studio until the day it arrived.
